Tucked away from the busyness of city life lies one of Australia’s most beautiful jewels, Jervis Bay. Located just 3 hours drive from Sydney and Canberra, Jervis Bay’s pristine natural beauty- whitest sand shores, vibrant turquoise waters and serene, beautiful walks makes this gem in New South Wales, truly a paradise.

1.   Hyams Beach

Rivaling Whitehaven in Whitsundays is Jervis Bay’s unspoiled beauty and Australia’s hidden gem, Hyams Beach which apparently has the whitest sand in the world according to Guinness World Book of Records. Lay on its powdery soft sands and soak in the sun, then head into the aqua blue waters for swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding.

2.   Scottish Rocks Beach

Located at the right end of Green Patch Beach in Booderee National Park are the spectacular rock formations called Scottish Rocks. Having the beach almost entirely to yourself and its pristine natural environment makes this place even more stunning.

3.   Jervis Bay Marine Park

With more than 30 dive sites, Jervis Bay is a popular diving and snorkeling destination. Explore the underwater world of Jervis Bay Marine Park and marvel at the huge diversity of marine life.  The bay's shallower and protected waters are also perfect for snorkeling. Other activities you can enjoy include kayaking and paddleboarding.

4.   Whale and Dolphin Watching

Go on whale and dolphin watching cruise and be amazed as you spot bottlenose dolphins and humpback whales play and frolic in the waters in close proximity to the boat.

Treat yourself to an evening of relaxation and indulgence as you take an amazing sunset cruise along the waters of Currambene Creek in Huskisson, Jervis Bay.  You can also hire a kayak and paddle your way in to enjoy gorgeous views.

Be spoilt with absolutely stunning but empty beaches, gorgeous white sands and pristine waters of the Booderee National Park. Camp for the night and get ready to soak in the beautiful surroundings. You can also do other outdoor activities such as bushwalking, snorkeling and boating. This beautiful national park is owned by the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community and is a special place for the Koori people.

Wander the White Sands Walk, a beautiful walk of a few kilometres which winds its way along the coast from Greenfield Beach to the glistening Hyams Beach. Enjoy the stunning bay views including incredible beaches, rock pools and some wooded areas.

Considered by many as a paradise, Murrays Beach is perfect with its pristine, aqua blue waters and the purest, finest white sand. The waters are calm while the beach is peaceful, usually with no other people in sight.  This beautiful beach looks out to Bowen Island where local little penguin colony lives and breeds.

9.   Moona Moona Creek

Moona Moona Creek’s shallow, crystal clear waters and very fine soft sands make it a perfect playground for families with young children. The place also has a wonderful picnic spot with bbq facilities, a  playground, toilets and changing rooms.

10.  Point Perpendicular Lighthouse

Take a short drive through natural scrub and wildflowers to the Point Perpendicular Lighthouse. The stunning views of the ocean from the lighthouse make the drive worth it. The lighthouse marks the northern entrance to the wonderful Jervis Bay.
